Join our Peruvian Cooking Class in Lima and learn to make three popular Peruvian favorites: ceviche, lomo saltado, and pisco sour. In this hands-on experience, a local cooking instructor will guide you through each recipe, from choosing ingredients to preparing and tasting your own food.
The class takes place in Miraflores in a small group, with fresh ingredients and kitchen equipment included. No cooking experience is needed. You’ll prepare the dishes yourself, enjoy a meal together, and take home recipes so you can try making them again. Learn about the food and culture of Peru along the way.
We begin with an introduction to traditional Peruvian ingredients. Your instructor explains how different flavors work together and answers questions before you start cooking. All the equipment and ingredients are provided.
First, learn to prepare ceviche, a well-known Peruvian dish made with fresh fish, lime juice, and other ingredients. Follow the instructor’s guidance as you prepare the dish and discover how its fresh flavors are balanced.
Next comes lomo saltado, a popular dish combining beef and vegetables cooked over high heat. You’ll practice the cooking steps yourself and learn about the mix of influences behind this Peruvian favorite.
The experience also includes a pisco sour workshop. Learn which ingredients go into this classic Peruvian cocktail and how to mix them. Your instructor will demonstrate the process before you make your own drink.
This is a practical class, not just a demonstration. Ask questions, practice new techniques, and share the experience with other participants. Beginners are welcome.
Once everything is ready, sit down and enjoy the food you have prepared together. You can take photos, receive digital recipes, and ask your instructor for recommendations on other Peruvian dishes and places to eat in Lima.
