What Will You See on Our Free Walking Tour Miraflores?
Our walking tour begins at 10:30 AM near the center of Miraflores. At Kennedy Park, discover a popular meeting place surrounded by shops, restaurants and local vendors selling traditional sweets. Your guide will explain how this area became one of the busiest parts of the neighborhood.
Nearby stands the Virgen Milagrosa Church, built in the 1930s and known for its beautiful stained glass windows. You’ll learn about its history before continuing toward the coast.
At the Miraflores Malecón, enjoy views of the Pacific Ocean and Lima’s Costa Verde. This coastal walkway is popular with locals for walking, exercising and relaxing in the parks above the cliffs.
Chinese Park, the Lighthouse and Park of Love
Our next stops introduce more of Miraflores’ history and culture. At Chinese Park, learn about the influence of Chinese immigration on Peru since the 19th century and how it became part of the country’s cultural identity.
We’ll also visit the Lighthouse of the Navy, a well-known landmark along the coast, and hear about its connection to Peru’s maritime history.
One of the highlights is the famous Park of Love (Parque del Amor), known for its colorful mosaics, romantic atmosphere and ocean views. Your guide will explain what makes this park special and why it is often compared to Park Güell in Barcelona.
After approximately two hours, the tour finishes in Miraflores around 12:30 PM. You’ll leave with a better understanding of the neighborhood and recommendations for exploring more of Lima on your own.
